Increasingly, software engineering needs to incorporate more speed and more flexibility to change. This also affects the research groups, which together with the constant growth in the number and profile of members that many groups have experienced in recent years makes the groups encounter problems and challenges in the field of management and resources. humans to whom we are not prepared.
Aware of this reality and the need to adapt to them to continue growing in an ultradynamic context, in the research group in Web Engineering and Early Testing we have launched a plan for total transformation. We seek to move from a project-based model with technicians who do the work and bosses who perform accounting and control. I have said that I work with autonomous and self-organized teams that continuously contribute with value and empowered to create their own opportunities for new projects.
This transformation is, without a doubt, the most ambitious project we have ever addressed. The first results are coming in the form of greater motivation and joy among the work teams, as well as an increase in their proactivity.
From our group we want to make available all our experience in day-to-day work to share with all those groups that have an interest in evolving to new management techniques based on ultra efficient equipment. For more information write to javierj@iwt2.org
