cabecera EN Calipso​In Industry Environment, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is the process of managing the entire lifecycle of a product from its conception, through design and manufacture, to service and disposal. PLM integrates people, data, processes and business systems and provides a product information backbone for companies and their extended enterprise. PLM systems help organizations in coping with the increasing complexity and engineering challenges of developing new products for the global competitive markets.In the aeronautical environment the right management of the product lifecycle is essential to assure the quality of the results. Moreover, in this kind of systems, the right software solutions for supporting, developing and maintaining the PLM are crucial for obtaining successful results.

In this context, Fidetia is collaborating with EADS-CASA in the CalipsoNeo Project. CALIPSOneo (advanCed Aeronautical soLutIons using Plm proceSses & tOols) was an ambitious project developed in Airbus whose main target consists in defining, simulating, optimizing and validating the aeronautical assembly processes in a 3D virtual environment before they are implemented in a real shop floor.

Model-Driven Engineering paradigm is being used by the research community in the last years, obtaining suitable results. However, there are few practical experiences in the enterprise field. This paper presents the use of this paradigm in an aeronautical PLM project named CALIPSOneo currently under development in AIRBUS. In this context, NDT methodology was adapted as methodology in order to be used by the development team. The paper presents this process and the results that we are getting from the project. Besides, some relevant learned lessons from the trenches are concluded.

La fase de pruebas siempre es una de las más importantes en el desarrollo de software. Sin embargo, cuando los proyectos sufren algún retardo en las fases de desarrollo, este retraso suele repercutirse de manera negativa en la fase de pruebas. La ingeniería guiada por modelos (MDE-Model Driven Engineering) ofrece una solución para paliar el coste de las pruebas sin repercutir en la calidad de la ejecución de las mismas. Esto se enfoca dentro del área que se suele denominar Pruebas guiadas por Modelos (MDT-Model Driven Testing). En este trabajo, se presenta una visión práctica de una propuesta metodológica basada en MDT y analiza las repercusiones que ha tenido en este trabajo empírico. Para ello, se utilizará el ejemplo del proyecto CalipsoNEO. Un proyecto realizado en colaboración con EADS-Casa que, además, supone un reto en este entorno por la propia naturaleza del proyecto enmarcada dentro de los entornos PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).

The model-driven engineering paradigm is a paradigm that combines the power of concepts and its relations, using abstracts models in order to offer suitable mechanisms for software development. In fact, software engineering community has applied MDE in different contexts of software engineering, getting suitable results. Despite these mechanisms, both global coordination and effective management of big software projects are not always easy task. Lack in communication lines, configuration plan execution and risky management are activities that have been executed by development teams in order to assure the quality of results, an essential point for a project to succeed. The paper’s aim is to present an approach based on the NDT methodology in order to solve these problems pulsar and how it has been applied in a real project called CALIPSOneo.
