Conference proceedings will be published by Springer after the conference.
The language of the conference is English. All submissions must therefore be in English.
Submissions to ISD 2013 should not have been published previously in a journal or conference proceedings, nor presented at another conference, nor currently under review or consideration for publication or presentation elsewhere.
Length and format
The maximum length for all submissions is 12 A4 pages, including references and appendices. All submissions must be in the appropriate format and use the Springer template for Word or LaTeX. The instructions for using the templates contain the guidelines for formatting all submissions.
Manuscript preparation in Word
In order for accepted papers to appear in the published proceedings, authors must edit their papers to comply with the document template by Springer for use with Word 2000 or 2003. Predefined style formats are available for all the types of content that are part of the manuscript, and these formats can be easily accessed via hotkeys or special toolbars. Manuscript preparation in LaTeX
Springer has developed LaTeX2e macro packages, which can be used for ISD 2013.
How to submit your paper
All submissions must be made via the ISD 2013 submission system (EasyChair).
Uploading and submitting files
Author information, abstract, keywords and the main body of the submission will be uploaded separately in the review system. Authors can upload a manuscript which that can be altered, re-uploaded or deleted. Once an author "submits" a manuscript to the Easy Chair system, however, it can no longer be changed, edited, or revised.
Papers must be submitted to the conference track that best fits the topic area. We recognises that the list of tracks is not an exhaustive one, nonetheless, we asks that authors select the track that best fits the topic area or use the General Track. Track Chairs may shift a submission from their track to another, as they deem appropriate.
Anonymizing for Initial Review
As all submissions will be double-blind reviewed, the author\'s names(s) and affiliation(s) should not be included anywhere in the document for the initial submission. If referring to articles or documents by the same author(s) these should be removed from the text and reference list, and replace with <removed for refereeing>.
When using the Springer template prior to the review process, you must also ensure that the remainder of the document contains no author information at all - not in the author/affiliation section above the abstract, the header, or in the document properties associated with the file. As it places a significant administrative burden on the conference organisers to ensure that your paper does not identify you as an author, and as this is central to the integrity of the double-blind review process, then failure to comply with these formatting requirements will result in rejection of your paper.
All paper submissions will be pre-screened for conformity with the submission guidelines and overall appropriateness for the conference by the Track Chairs. Paper submissions that pass the initial screening will be evaluated in a double-blind peer review process. Each conference track is chaired by IS academics with research expertise in the respective area. The track chairs will supervise the review process, including selecting reviewers from the IS research community. Acceptance and rejection decisions are will be finalized by the Program Chairs.
In general, the review criteria will be those typically used by major journals and conferences (e.g. relevance of the topic, quality of the research process, contribution etc). The results of the review process will be communicated to the author(s) by the specified date. The author(s) will be responsible for making the revisions recommended by the reviewers, and for submitting the final version of their paper by the appropriate deadline.
Commitment to participate in the conference
At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference. Further, for the paper to be included in the monograph of the proceedings, one author must attend and present the paper.
Additionally, a co-author is only able to present at most two papers under a single registration. If there are other papers co-authored by this author, than a second registration must be made.

For now, you must only upload (via ISD 2013 submission system (EasyChair)) the camera-ready version in PDF format. Later, we will provide more information on publishing copyright.
Please note that there is a STRICT restriction of 12 pages (maximum) for your camera-ready paper. If you exceed this limit, we may not be able to include your paper in the published proceedings.
Papers that do not comply with the specified guidelines will be returned to authors. If formatting problems are not corrected by authors, their paper will be omitted from the published proceedings.
